I wonder if North Americans have a greater tendency than the Brits to come
up with jargon. When I was doing an article a dozen years ago on reenacting
jargon, nearly everyone I talked to had me sit down and listen to yards of
jargon! "Popping Caps," "Portacastles," "John Waynes," etc., etc.
