[Regia-NA] getelds and Viking Tents

Actually, I do have a question about having the canvas on the outside.
If you put the diagonal end-poles inside the tent,
do you then not have the classic crossed-poles-skyward look?
Or is that simply inappropriate for a geteld?
(Our tent uses just the ridgepole and the 4 diagonal end poles.
We stake down the sides along the ground and use ropes to cross-brace.
The ropes are also staked down. Only the end pole is internal, though.
So I'm curious...)
