Subject: [BRITARCH] Wearmouth and Jarrow Monastic sites. Volume 2 Appendix C
now available online.

The ADS / AHDS Archaeology is pleased to announce the online availability of
Wearmouth and Jarrow Monastic sites. Volume 2 Appendix C.

http://ads.ahds.ac.uk/catalogue/resources.html?wearmouth_jarrow_eh_2006

Written by Rosemary Cramp, University of Durham, with funding from English
heritage, the eagerly anticipated Volume 2 has recently been published and
is concerned with the description and analysis of the material remains
associated with the Anglo-Saxon and medieval occupations. Appendix C lists
the contexts assigned to periods before the later post-medieval and forms an
integral part of this major two-volume publication.

This appendix to the monograph offers significant new material for
researchers in the internationally important Wearmouth and Jarrow Monastic
sites, their excavation and the Anglo-Saxon and medieval periods more
generally.

Seasons greetings and best wishes from all at the ADS, Stuart
