In my experience, every era of living history has terminology, sometimes
shared, sometimes different. For example:
farb (many eras) non-accurate
fudgie (Mackimack Island) tourist (because the island sells fudge, and
tourists will approached costumed interpreters and touch their sleeves with
fudgie fingers, asking, "What's this made of...?"
turon (Buckskinning) tourist moron
Ramada ranger (AWI) a reenactor who stays in a hotel at an event
sword jock (SCA) someone who's interested in martial activities to the
exclusion of anything else
booshway (Buckskinning) organizer of an event

I am in the process of making a handout for new members that will hopefully
include the jargon used in Regia. I know of jubbly and aunt martha, but
there has to be many others. What kind of reenacting slang do you use?
Thanks for your input!

Cheers, Folo
