November.

Very cool. And it may not have been stock footage for the
Arthur show, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it show up
again as stock footage. Let us know the next time you're on
the screen (large or small). Actually, I think there was
mention on some mailing list I'm on (maybe this one) about
the filming.

If you taped "Secrets of the Viking Warriors" you can see
some footage of Regia -- we're the ones in the historically
informed clothing -- along with footage (stock and otherwise)
of furry re-enactors from somewhere else. At least they
didn't have horns on their helmets. Also, on Battlefield
Detectives "Who Got Lucky at Hastings", prominent among the
Regians you'll see Bill Tate (Leifr) playing William the
Lucky Bastard ... I mean, William the Norman Oppressor ...
uhhhh ... For those who don't know, Bill is the head of the
Danelaw, the southeastern US Regia group that I'm in and Russ
just defected from. (But we still love ya, Russ.)

Danelaw includes Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and
Florida -- the perfect area to wear wool! Our focus is Anglo-
Danish, 9-10c.

I've been on the longship thrice. The most recent time,
about 10 years ago, when I was in the band Connemara, you
kidnapped us after a concert under the lighthouse (on
Solomon's Island?). The first two times, it was the
old "longship", and we ran aground both times. (Thank you,
Sean Ruabarua! <cue flashback music>) And was it you (with
Atli) I ran into at the Colonial Maritime Conference in St
Mary's City, lo these many years ago? "Cutting edge
Colonial," said Atli, and "the scary thing is, they take us
seriously."
