Thanks for the info. I think that mid-October is still too soon for me to plan for a long distance trip (and I need to save leave for York!). Everything is still a bit jumbled in the house...but the great thing is that I opened a box last night and found my pots, and they are all intact!

Why, yes, there is! Markland is hosting their Hastings event on October 11 & 12, at Marietta
Mansion. This is something like the 35th or so year that they have done it. This was the event that
first started Markland, and they claim it is the longest-running medieval re-enactment in North
America. Could very well be, I dunno. If you want more info, try this:
