I have very light-sensitive eyes, but what works for me is to wear a linen or cotton head scarf, tied in the back, and pull it low over my eyes, so that I can still see, but it blocks the sun. I can get thru the sunniest event, including 2 weeks of Pennsic without sunglasses this way. Tola
