The answer to your question is equatable to the length of a piece of string.

You need a LOT of kit to completeley exist on the LHE: cooking gear,
tentage, eating gear, stuff to sit on, any gear the crafts you want to do
etc (i could go on). But don't fear because this is where a group of you
get together and form a 'wic' and share some of the kit around (best done if
the basics are owned centrally by a sub-group) especially cooking gear
(because lots of people (except me and steve ethridge (being funny (not ha
ha, peculiar ;o))) can all eat out of the same big couldron of ... ).

But to answer your questions:

> Benches?

I have one, 4 legged, big enough for two lardy-ish people in wargear to
share. Rolland made it so perhaps he could let us know how it is
provenencable?

3 legged stools are a frequently seen thing, again povenence steve/anyone.

> tripod arrangement?

3 metal things connected at the top with a rivety-hooky thing (if that made
sense i will be suprised). Somebody with one want to send me a piccy (off
list) and i shall put it somewhere nice and acessable.

> What sort of chests?

Basically rectangular boxy things with (slightly) sloping sides. The
mastemyr chest being the main example we use as a template (and extrapolate
from there). IIRC this link
http://www.angelfire.com/wy/svenskildbiter/Viking/vikchest.html#top covers
the whole thing quite well.

> Needles? [assuming bone, of course]

And copper and iron, depends what you want them for. Copper ones are often
a little larger that iron, bone ones larger still. Copper/iron for sewing,
bone for naalbinding (usually). Coppergate (york) produced dozens of both
types, copper was more common iirc.

> Where to buy / I shall need a cloak clasp, too

That being the crux, i could help you with suppliers this side of the pond,
and for the smaller stuff that may be of more use, bigger stuff patterns to
local craftsmen might be your best bet. Prod me off list for that.

Standard disclaimer, i may be wrong on all/any of this lot. But hey correct
me publicly guys, never stopped you before :-).
