surnames from e.g. Henry VIII tax records/criminal records/ale house 
records/church stipend contributor records for volunteer recruitment to 
get round large population movements since 1600 -- is finally out in 
February's edition of the leading scientific journal Molecular Biology 
and Evolution. The paper can be viewed as an open access article without

the need for passwords etc.
