[Regia-NA] Llangorse cord and querstions

Clearly I have missed some emails as Hazel's response about Llangorse cord and the pictures seem to have come out of the blue.  What has the previous discussion been?  Are the cords what I have seen called whipcording (http://polaris.umuc.edu/~jthies/sca/viking/whipcording.html) or Interlocking?
 
I remember that a discussion about women's clothing was going on so, what is the successful Norse steader's wife wearing on her head these days?
 
And, how far north can wheat be grown in England?
