Nick- are you referring to the general usage "satchels" that Regia folks use? Meaning the rectangularish bags with the long straps that can go over the shoulder?
If that's what you're looking at, then I would love to see some of that stuff too!

This is a different sort of pouch to the type I'm talking about. Though all the finds are of metal pouch/purse fittings, which would as you say, have been from high status burials. Lower status pouches could have existed though, maybe with wood, horn or bone fittings, if any.
