It was a term that I had been led to believe was in common use among Viking 
reenactment groups, used to describe an historical artifact which is unique 
but which exists: "We don't know what the hell to do with this thing Aunt 
Martha gave us, so let's just stick it in Ollie's grave; we have to give 
him something."
