As every one is probably aware there is a lot of viruses knocking about at the moment. My wife seems to be the target of a campaign at the moment, she is recieving upto 30 viruses a day.Today one got through her virus detector but was caught by Norton. It was titled delivery failure & gave a link to windows media player.
It's scary that the people sending her this stuff must have got her addresses off lists to which she is a member. They are even coming in with my address as the originator. She is getting mail with delivery failure coming in from various companies whos anti virus system catch the virus & send her a delivery report.
My paranoia has gone into overload with me updating my anti virus at least twice a day & finding updates almost every time.
So it's probably a good thing to keep your anti virus & spyware upto date.
A dose of healthy paranoia is probably a good thing too?
Regards,
Mik

My flabber is well and truly ghasted ;o))

I was prompted to renew my Norton subscription & having Broadband, I'm careful about that sort of thing, so did as
suggested and upgraded to the 2004 version and opted for an Internet Security package.

There is an anti-spam thingy that you have to train and all you have to do is highlight the e-mail and click on the
button that Norton has added to your menu bars, highlight "This is spam" and hit return.

I've been training it for 36 hours (no, not literally) and today I've down loaded TWO spam items out of 38 mails,
something of an improvement from the hundred odd from an average daily download of 130 + and rising by the day. I don't
know how it's doing it and I don't really care, it is just such a relief to not have to pound my way through a sticky
morass of porn, viagra and American finance offers.

I'll let you know if it goes toes up on me .

Kim Siddorn
