I don't know what I can do with my dogs to convince them to be whippets, terriers, lurchers, gazehounds, et al. I don't think Labrador Retrievers were en vogue, altho' there is evidence [skimpy & subject to interpretation] of poodle type dogs way way back. Both large & small. The dogs in the illustration remind me of some sort of "lion" dogs, i.e. w/ neck ruff. Jennifer
