[Regia-NA] cotton tent material

In regards to inexpensive tent material, how about
heavy paint tarps? I checked them out at my local
Chase Pitkins home supply and they have cotton tarps
with what appears to be a herringbone weave (no expert
here!) are tan in color and best of all are sized up
to 12 by 15 feet for 16 dollars in a medium weight
duck . My guess is they are about 8 to 10 oz weight.
