even our newbies are allowed linen next to the skin in my local
group..ideally linen underdress..poor colour, woollen overdress, undyed,
head covering and shawl/ cloak. This is what we start our new comers in.
Ever local group in regia hold slightly different rules as to how they are
run internally. Regia as a whole just asks you to dress authentically and
appropriately.
As far as I am aware there are no sumptuary laws in britain at this time..it
was what you can aford, unlike later France etc.
