John Lane? Saw him at Thetford a week or three back, complete with a cut =
down version of one of his trebuchets. Much fun was had intercepting =
water filled ballistic balloons - I managed to head one, not at all =
unpleasant on such a hot day.
The self destruction of a trebuchet can be fun to watch, but the =
disadvantage of torsion ballistas is that when they decide to self =
destruct, bits of ballista have a tendancy to become very nasty missiles =
in their own right.=20
Which is one of the reasons why I've resisted the temptation to =
experiment with them thus far.
Still - never say never.
