And I've done the "hidden" scram myself!  But thinking about the
practicalities, I just feel that it would be a hazard, especially in a
fighting line.  Technically, if you were to graze a shieldmate with it, or
yourself, shouldn't you call that as a legal shot?

Regarding Backhand scrams I seem to remember reading that some srams were 
not sharp all the way up to the handle  anyone confirm?
Also on the rare times I have used a scram like this I do not hold the 
blade of the scram.
