For the record, IMHO, the Pyramids were built by the spare population (say a
conservative 75,000 fit, able bodied men) that could not work on the land
for three months of the inundation. The State provided them with a nice
little make work project, feeding them whilst they worked at it. You can get
an awful lot done with that kind of manpower.

No aliens required, only a religion-driven superstitious awe of the God-king
that lived amongst them.
