A core of steel wool wrapped around with coarse hessian held together with
garden wire. Dip in petrol and allow to drip . Light with care. It will burn
for a few minutes only, but that does not matter for filmwork as you can
just swap them off camera.

I am looking for Normand (XI century) food to serve at feast and over the
fire pit in camp.... any receipe?.

you explain how you do your torch.
