[Regia-NA] Gokstad bed pins

    Greetings all,

I'm in the process of making a slat bed, based one found in the Gokstad 
boat burial, and have have it almost finished, save for the pins that go 
through the tennons to hold them in place. ( similar to the pattern 
here:  http://www.dnaco.net/~arundel/bedplan.html )

Can anyone tell me if the original had square/rectangular holes for the 
pins or rounded ones?  I can't make out the details on the original 
photo there ( though he has squared pegs in the pattern ), and I've seen 
one other good reproduction, but it used round pegs.
